TrueGuide Dental plans implant cases and prints surgical guides for dentists in all 50 states from its lab in Tenafly, New Jersey. You upload a CBCT and an intraoral scan, review the plan with a technician on a screen-share call, and the guide ships 48 hours after you approve it. Ground shipping to your office is free in the lower 48 states.

What to Send for a Surgical Guide

  • A CBCT exported as DICOM files

  • An intraoral scan of both arches as STL, PLY or OBJ, with a bite registration

  • An Rx with the implant sites, the implant system and platform, and your sleeve choice

  • Optional: a stone model or impression, which the guide is fitted on before it ships

The CBCT and scan records guide covers field of view, scan quality and the registration errors that cost the most accuracy.

What Happens Before Planning

A technician checks every file before planning starts: scan quality, CBCT-to-scan registration and whether the records cover the implant sites. If something will compromise the guide, you hear about it before any planning time is spent. Technicians flag findings near the implant sites; the full CBCT read stays with you.

How You Review the Plan

The plan is shown to you on a screen-share call, so there is no new software to install. Implant position, depth and angulation are set from the final restoration. Revisions are unlimited until the guide prints, and an unapproved case stays on file for 30 days. The plan file is available on request in your own planning software's format.

How Fit Is Checked Before Shipping

Every guide is seated on a physical model before it ships: your stone model or impression if you send one, or a model printed from your scan. If a guide does not seat because of a design, printing or sleeve error on our side, TrueGuide Dental remakes it at no charge and ships it overnight. Guides ship clean and disinfected, not sterile, so follow the insert sheet before surgery.

Implant Systems and Sleeves

TrueGuide Dental plans for every major implant system, including Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Zimmer Biomet and Implant Direct. Use the sleeves from your own guided kit at no charge, a TrueGuide metal sleeve at $29 each, or a sleeveless guide. If you do not own a guided kit, we call your implant company to arrange a loaner.

Chairside Support in New York and New Jersey

For full-arch conversions in New York and New Jersey, a TrueGuide technician can attend the surgery, and the screw-retained provisional is printed in advance from the approved plan. Outside those two states, the same guides and provisionals ship to your office.

Common Questions

Do you work with offices outside New Jersey?

Yes. Dentists in all 50 states upload records online, and ground shipping is free in the lower 48. Chairside support during surgery is available in New York and New Jersey.

Is the first guide really free?

Yes. The first surgical guide for a new office is free, up to two implant sites, with planning included.

How much does a guide cost after the first one?

A standard guide is $279 for two implant sites plus $59 for each added site, and a full-arch guide is $579. The surgical guide price table lists every option.
