Clinical Review at TrueGuide

Every clinical article TrueGuide Dental publishes is written in the laboratory and reviewed by Jacob Shrayman, DDS, a general dentist who has practiced for more than twenty years in New York and New Jersey. The laboratory knows what it sees in your files. A dentist knows what happens at the chair. Both have to be right for an article to be worth your time.

The Reviewer

Jacob Shrayman, DDS

Clinical reviewer, TrueGuide Dental. Dr. Shrayman is a general dentist who places implants using TrueGuide surgical guides in his own practice. He reviews TrueGuide's published content for accuracy and flags anything that does not match what happens at the chair.

Why We Have One

Most laboratories never find out what happened. A guide ships, a surgery happens somewhere, and whatever was learned in that operatory stays in that operatory. The plan was either right or it was not, and the people who drew it never hear either way.

Dr. Shrayman places implants using TrueGuide surgical guides. When something seats differently than it looked on screen, the technician who planned it hears about it from the doctor who placed it. That feedback loop is the reason this page exists.

How This Works

Because Dr. Shrayman places implants using TrueGuide surgical guides, he is not at arm's length from the laboratory, and we do not present him as though he were. We say so on every article he reviews. He is a dentist who has to live with the result, which is a different thing and a more useful one.

Articles are written by TrueGuide and carry the name of whoever wrote them. Review does not mean the reviewer wrote the article, and it does not make an article medical advice. Nothing TrueGuide publishes on this site is a treatment plan for any patient. Those decisions belong to the treating doctor, every time.

What We Will Not Publish

TrueGuide writes about what a lab sees: records, files, materials, fit and workflow. We don't publish surgical technique, recommend implant positions for a specific patient, or read a CBCT for diagnosis. Dr. Shrayman reviews each article before it goes live and after any material change. If you find an error, write to us and we'll correct it and note the correction.
