Born out of frustration with inconsistent guided workflows, True Guide began in 2018 in the back room of a dental office. A team of oral surgeons and technicians obsessed with precision spent nights calibrating 3D printers, testing prototypes, and redefining how digital planning could support surgical success and restorative outcomes. Today, that obsession powers hundreds of dental practices across the country.

OUR TEAM
Dr. Martin Urban has over 20 years of experience in implant dentistry and periodontics. He earned his DDS from SUNY Stony Brook and later became a Diplomate and faculty member with the International Academy of Dental Implantology.
As Clinical Director of True Guide Dental, Dr. Urban leads surgical planning and guides development, ensuring every case is built for surgical precision and restorative success. His background spans periodontal surgery, implant placement, sinus lifting, and bone grafting.
He is a member of the ADA and Massachusetts Dental Society. Outside the lab, Dr. Urban is a former NCAA Division I swimmer and Olympic memorabilia collector who enjoys time with his family and four dogs.

FOUNDER
Dr. Jacob Shrayman graduated from New York University College of Arts and Science with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and from New York University College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. For over 15 years, he has provided gentle and comprehensive dental services to residents of New York and New Jersey. His passion for precision and optimal outcomes is showcased in his role as the Head of the Implant Planning Department at True Guide, which he joined in 2023. In this capacity, Dr. Shrayman utilizes state-of-the-art 3D imaging (CBCT) and advanced digital workflow technologies to design meticulous, computer-guided surgical plans. This expertise in virtual planning ensures the highest level of accuracy and safety for his patients, from single-tooth replacements to complex full-arch reconstructions.

John Simon, MDT, serves as the Head of the Guide Design and Fabrication Department at True Guide, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a dental technician to his leadership role. A master artisan and technologist, he operates at the crucial intersection of dental science and digital engineering. John leads the expert team responsible for transforming meticulous digital implant plans into physical, patient-specific surgical guides. With extensive expertise in CAD/CAM software and advanced 3D printing technologies, he ensures every guide is fabricated to the most exacting standards of accuracy.
